Rob Betchley, Head Coach
Rob was a high-school All-American at Yorktown High School in New York, where he still holds the record for most goals in a season (94).  He played college lacrosse at Army, where he was a two-time All-American. At Army, he was voted Most Valuable Freshman, Best Offensive Player his next three years, and Captain his senior year.  He graduated as the all-time leading scorer in Army history and was Captain of the North Team in the Division I College All-Star Game.  Rob has been elected into the Hudson Valley Chapter Lacrosse Hall-of-Fame, and he is very experienced lacrosse coach at the youth, club and high-school levels.

Bill Ralph, Assistant Coach & Defensive Coordinator
Bill was a two-time high-school All-American defender at Yorktown High School in New York, team Captain for two years, and an integral part of Yorktown's state championship team in 1984.  He played college lacrosse at the University of Maryland, where he was a two-time All-American and played in two NCAA lacrosse Final Four Championship games in 1989 and 1990.  At Maryland, he was voted two-time All-ACC first team, 1990 ACC Player-of-the-Year, 1990 team Captain, 1990 University of Maryland Athlete-of-the-Year.  Bill has also been elected into the Hudson Valley Lacrosse Hall-of-Fame.

Chris Shunk, Assistant Coach
Chris was the Groove’s first ever coach and an accomplished player himself, having played a high level growing up in Virginia.  For the last few years, he has coached successful middle school and high school teams for the Brentwood Lacrosse Club and helped start a new Fall Ball Recreational League in Brentwood in 2007.  Chris remains an integral part of the Brentwood Club and will work with the Groove after the spring scholastic seasons are over.

Eric Clapp, Assistant Coach & Offensive Coordinator

As a high school player at Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, Eric was All-State, All-Midwest and a member of the All-Ohio All-Star team his senior year. He played college lacrosse at Wittenburg University, where he was a four-year starter, voted Freshman-of-the-Year, selected Captain and All-Conference his senior year.  Eric is currently the head coach of the Ravenwood Junior Varsity team and assistant coach of the Ravenwood Varsity team.
